Here are unusual and surprising tricks that seem really strange until you try them!
#1 Face Cleanser Cleans Shoes and Whitens Rubber Parts of Shoes
This liquid will help you bring old sneakers and leather shoes back to life. Put some of the liquid on a cotton swab, wipe the dirty surface, and then rinse with water.
#2 Cleaning and Whitening a Cutting Board
Mix together the following ingredients: 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, 1-2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Apply the paste to the surface of the board and wait a few hours (preferably leave it overnight). Then, wash the paste off with a paper towel and rinse the board thoroughly.
#3 A Rubberband Will Come in Handy in the Bathroom
If you want to reduce the amount of liquid soap you use, simply place a rubber band on the dispenser. This way, with each press, you will use less product.
#4 Toothpaste Can Replace Special Toilet Tablets
If you don't want to spend a lot of money on special toilet cleaning capsules or expensive cleaners, just use toothpaste. One tube is enough for 3 months and your toilet will smell great and always look good. Just poke holes in the toothpaste tube and place it in the refresher capsule hook.
#5 Cat Litter Removes Odors
Put the litter in a garbage bag and place it inside the item you want to get rid of the odor off. This can be anything from shoes to exercise mats - usually things that are difficult to wash. Place the cat litter and the item in a plastic bag and leave for a few days.
#6 Spray That Irons Your Clothes as Good as an Iron?
We also found this hard to believe especially since I'm not one of those people who likes ironing… Mix 1 teaspoon of hair conditioner, 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 2 cups of water. Spray the mixture on your clothes, stretch them with your hands and wait for it to dry.
#7 Hide Nail Picks Using Soap
Take a piece of white soap and rub it where the hole is visible. Make a circular motion. If you do it correctly the nail spot will be almost invisible.
#8 Fruit Fly Trap
If you have a bunch of flies in your house again during the spring and summer season, it is a good idea to react quickly and prepare a trap for them. Place a small amount of sliced fruit in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and then make small holes in it with a toothpick. The flies will be attracted by the sweet smell and will easily fly in, but will not be able to manage their way out.
#9 Hairspray and a Rubber Glove Will Help Pick Up Pet Hair from Hard to Reach Areas
Apply a dab of hairspray to a rubber glove, then rub it on the spot where your pet's hair has collected - it could be carpet or stairs. A few strokes is all it takes to get your pet's fur well collected on the glove.
#10 Place Sponges at the Bottom of the Drawer in the Refrigerator
This will keep the vegetables and fruits kept in the fridge fresh for longer. The sponges will absorb moisture and odor from the food, and this will help prolong the life of the vegetables.
#11 Sandpaper Removes Lint on Clothes
This quick and easy way helps restore your clothes to their original appearance. Gently rub the paper on your clothes and the tiny balls of fabric will quickly disappear.
