    Decorative rosettes

Echeveria -Rainbow s a charming succulent. Its leaves form small rosettes just above the soil level. Its distinct feature is that the leaves change their color depending on the season. All the shades of pink, blue and yellow make the plant a really attractive decoration.

    A guest from Mexico

Echeveria has got thick juicy velvet-like leaves, covered with a waxy layer of protection against the sun. Interestingly, the succulent can also bloom. The bell-shaped flowers arise from short stalks growing out of rosettes. The succulent belongs to the stonecrop family and originally comes from Mexico.

    The location

The plant loves the sun. this what gives its leaves the vivid color and the rosettes take on a lovely shape. Limited access to light results in leaves stretching and the whole plant no longer looks that attractive.

    Watering

Don't use much water in the winter and the fall. Once a month will be absolutely enough. In the summer, though, you can water them more frequently (once every two weeks). It is important not to splash water on the leaves so that nasty stains won't appear.

    Temperature

The succulent prefers room temperature. In the winter, a cooler place (with ambient temperature of about 8 degrees C) will be perfect.

    Fertilization

The nest medium is the one for cacti and succulents. The thing is that the plant needs very little fertilizer. Twice a year will be just fine.
