    #1 A secret ingredient – glycerin

Add a teaspoonful of glycerin to water and use the solution to sprinkle the panes. As a result, all the dust present in the air won't sit on the windows. Glycerin will form a kind of protective filter, in much the same way as winter windscreen washer liquids or fabric softeners.

No glycerin at hand? Use rinse aid!

Yes, the one you use in your dishwasher. They contain lemon juice and alcohol. These ingredients will effectively remove any residue from the panes making your windows shine. Use a glass of rinse aid for three liters of water.

#2 A solution for those preferring natural ways

Add two teaspoonful of white or apple vinegar to a glass of water. This eco-friendly mixture will let you clean the windows leaving no smears. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

#3 It's all about the right sequence

Never start with cleaning the panes. First brush the frames, then the panes and finally the sill. In this way you will avoid having to remove the pane smears formed while cleaning other parts of the window.

#4 Don't use kitchen paper towels

There is nothing worse than this tine little pieces of the towel left on the panes. Moreover, if you want to clean all your windows, you will need plenty of the towel. Instead, you can use microfiber clothes. Once you finish cleaning, wash them and they are ready to be used again!

    #5 The skyscraper way

The wet method works only if you have a pane wiper at hand. If you do, clean the windows using water with a washing agent and then wipe it all off using the wiper.

    Step 1

Wipe the panes with horizontal moves, from the left to the right, never getting to the edge. After each move shake the water off the wiper.

    Step 2

Wipe the wet band on the right with a single move from the top to the bottom.

#6 Never wash windows at noon

The skyscrapers windows are always washed early in the morning or in the afternoon. Why is that so? It's because the sun makes the cleaning agent dissolved in water dry too quickly, leaving the nasty smears. Of course this principle also applies to cleaning windows on a smaller scale.

Of course the noon does not have to be the worst time to do the cleaning. It all depends on the temperature outside and the exposure of your windows.

#7 Never wipe the panes with a dry cloth

Even very small pieces of dust can scratch the panes!
