19 Children From Around the World Show What Their Weekly Diet Looks Like. Behind Their Meals Are Touching Family Stories

Gregg Segal is a photographer who traveled the world and looked at the diet of children living on different continents. In his pictures he showed how children eat throughout the week. Eating habits of children are influenced by the material status of their parents and the place where they grow up. Behind their weekly menu there are touching stories.

The boy lives in one room with his mom, dad and brother. He loves goat meat, oatmeal, and soccer. He would like to become a famous football player. During the week he mostly ate baguettes with spaghetti, peas and fried potatoes.

June likes to dance, sing, and reads vampire books before bed. She would like to have a dog, but her parents don't agree. She likes schnitzel very much and is not keen on broccoli and curry. Her mother is a fashion photographer, and during meals she listens to her parents' discussions (usually about politics).

The girl belongs to the Yawalapiti tribe and lives in the Amazon. She loves to read history books, and in her village there is no electricity or constant access to water.
