Before arranging flowers, they should be properly prepared. The stem needs to be cleaned of leaves at about 2/3 of the height. The submerged part of the plant should not have twigs, leaves or thorns. They accelerate decay, which makes the bouquet wilt faster.

You can add sugar, aspirin, vinegar or bleach to the water. Sugar has a nourishing effect. Aspirin protects the bouquet from the proliferation of bacteria. Vinegar and bleach have a fungo fighting effect.
