The function of this little piece of plastic that does look like a table is really simple. It is to protect your pizza against the lid of the box falling onto it and sticking to it. Thanks to it, even if your delivery guy is a little bit clumsy, you won’t have to scratch the cheese off the cardboard.
American invention
Pizza-saver was invented by Carmela Vitale from USA. She went as far as to get a patent hoping to make a living thanks to her ideas. Although I don’t know whether this particular American dream came true, it has caught on all over the world.
