A Brazilian Man Collects Old Tires and Turns Them Into Pet Beds. Practical Recycling

Old and used tires can be found abandoned in garbage dumps or in the woods, which is a very unsustainable practice. A young Brazilian man found a solution to this and dealt with the issue in his own artistic way, transforming them once again into more useful objects.

Amarildo started collecting tires that were dumped on the roadsides or in dumpsters. He stored them in his own backyard and gradually transformed them into colorful beds for dogs and cats.Transformation of an old and dirty tire requires a lot of work. First, it must be thoroughly cleaned. Then Amarildo Silva cuts it in half, sprays it with paint, and fits a mattress inside. On some of them, according to the wishes of the owners, he writes the name of the pet.

    From Bedding to Flowerbeds

The beds began to sell so well that the Brazilian artist began making flowerpots out of the tires as well. The whole project is very creative. Such recycling has a positive impact on the environment, and Amarildo Silva found a way to combine his passion for creative work with the desire to help.
