We generally buy yeast with a view to baking breads or a cake. However, all plant lovers should pay attention to it, because this commodity can also be used in the garden.

From The Store To The Garden

Every amateur gardener knows that plants need the right minerals to grow properly. In this case, agricultural fertilizers come to the rescue. We usually buy them in easy-to-use packets and apply them very quickly. However, there is one problem with agricultural fertilizers. They are very concentrated and there is a great risk that we will use too much of them and simply overfertilize the plants. In addition, vegetables accumulate in the body same chemicals, which later find their way into our bodies. To prevent this from happening it is worth thinking in the use of natural fertilizers. They are easily made from ordinary commercial baker's yeast.

It is more potent, requires dilution and the process of preparing it takes longer.

Put a crumbled cube of yeast into a large pot and sprinkle it with a glass of sugar. After 1-2 hours, pour 10L of water into the pot, stir and leave for a week (then the fermentation will take place). Before use, the fertilizer should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:40.

    Spraying With the Solution

Spraying will help to fight against fungal diseases, mildew, potato blight or powdery mildew.

Dissolve a cube of yeast in 0.5 l of milk (full fat). Add 10L of water and a tablespoon of gray soap (the spray will stay on the leaves). Sprinkle the mixture on the affected plants once a week.
